PJ LIBRARY AND HGF have long been fervent supporters of Jewish overnight camps for children (READ: “Why (Jewish) Summer Camp?”), but we also encourage families to explore Jewish family camp.In an effort to facilitate your research and aid you in your consideration of a family camp experience, we have aggregated in this blogpost dozens of camp options, with direct links to their respective programs.Whether you choose to spend a week together in the summer or a weekend in the fall or spring, you’re in for an exciting and family friendly adventure.WHY FAMILY CAMP?
Jewish Camps for Family FunThere are dozens and dozens of Jewish family camps across North America. These family vacations provide opportunities for sharing, learning, and bonding. We have come up with seven key reasons to consider spending a week together at Jewish family camp (though there are many more reasons!):

  • Enjoy family togetherness in the beauty of nature and the outdoors.
  • Free yourself from everyday tasks (i.e. three cooked and prepared meals a day).
  • Relax and unwind while the kids are supervised and engaged in camp adventures with new friends.
  • Try something new yourself (gaga, rock climbing, or stained-glass crafts anyone?).
  • Meet families similar to your own.
  • Rekindle Jewish family spirit with new songs, stories, and rituals.
  • Invite the grandparents for a multi-generational adventure.

Go ahead, try something new as a family.  Click here to read the whole article- Camp Coleman is featured!
