For the past two weeks, the Kesher unit has been embracing every opportunity to connect, explore, and create unforgettable memories. From exciting evening programs and meaningful traditions to an action-packed overnight trip, Kesher campers have quickly formed strong friendships and a true sense of community.
Evening programs have been a highlight of the session so far. Campers dove into the messy fun of Organized Mass Chaos, showed off their creativity during Memory Box Making, brought their energy to Dancing with the Stars, and cooled off together at a unit pool party. No matter the activity, Kesher campers have approached each experience with enthusiasm, laughter, and a willingness to try something new.
One of the most meaningful parts of life in Kesher has been the nightly Siyyum, when the entire unit gathers to reflect on the day and sing Shema and Hashkiveinu together. These moments have helped campers strengthen their connections with one another and appreciate the experiences they are sharing. A special favorite was the Shabbat Siyyum, when each camper shared a “lollipop moment”—a meaningful moment from the week that left a lasting impact on them. To make the tradition even sweeter, everyone received a lollipop to celebrate.
The highlight of the session so far was Kesher’s overnight adventure. Campers spent two unforgettable days exploring caves, learning about fascinating cave formations, and squeezing through passageways together. They then took on the excitement of white water rafting, working as a team and cheering each other on through every rapid. The trip concluded with a campfire, s’mores, and time to reflect on all the adventures they had shared.
After two incredible weeks, Kesher has returned to camp with stronger friendships, plenty of stories to tell, and memories that will last long after the summer ends. It has been a joy watching this group grow closer each day, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of the session has in store. 💙✨
