The final day of MAC 2026 arrived with excitement buzzing through every cabin. Campers woke up knowing it was their final opportunity to earn points for their team, and from the moment breakfast ended, the energy around camp was electric.

The morning kicked off with team meetings as campers gathered one last time to prepare for the biggest event of the day: Marathon. The Blue Martys filled the Brody while the Red Alexes met in Elisheva, reviewing strategy, practicing cheers, and getting everyone fired up for the race ahead.

Then it was time.

Camp transformed into one giant race course as teams spread out across every corner of Camp Coleman for Marathon. Racing from challenge to challenge, campers completed activities as quickly as possible while our Tie Dye Team recorded each checkpoint along the way. Every second mattered as teammates encouraged one another, solved challenges together, and sprinted toward the next station, determined to help their team cross the finish line first.

All roads eventually led back to the Brody for the thrilling finale.

With campers lining the sidelines, cheers echoing across camp, and hearts racing, the final Kesher runners from each team sprinted back and forth across the Brody toward their Chalutzim teammate waiting to take the final three-point shot. The anticipation was incredible. As the Red team’s runner reached their shooter first, the ball went up… and swished through the basket. The crowd erupted as the Red Alexes claimed the Marathon victory in one of the most exciting finishes of the entire week.

Following the excitement, campers set off on a Madagascar-themed safari adventure, continuing this year’s MAC-agascar theme with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of fun. Another crowd favorite was Machon Swim, where our Counselors-in-Training took center stage at the pool, performing a choreographed dance routine that had the entire camp smiling, clapping, and singing along.

After lunch and a well-earned rest period, teams met one final time to prepare for Alma. Together, campers wrote original songs, practiced their performances, and put the finishing touches on the beautiful plaques they had spent the week creating.

That evening, everyone gathered in the Harris Center for MAC’s grand finale.

One by one, each team took the stage, proudly performing their Alma songs with incredible spirit and creativity. The room echoed with singing, cheers, laughter, and applause as campers celebrated everything they had accomplished together throughout the week. Afterwards, each team unveiled their beautifully crafted plaques, showcasing the teamwork, imagination, and pride that had defined their MAC experience.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.

The lights dimmed.

A final skit unfolded on stage as excitement filled the room. The cheers grew louder with every passing second until the announcement was finally made…

The Red Alexes were crowned the winners of MAC 2026!

The Harris Center erupted with celebration as teammates hugged one another, jumped with excitement, and proudly celebrated their hard-earned victory.

But one of the most meaningful traditions of MAC is that, while one team takes home the trophy, every camper walks away with something even more valuable.

Throughout the week, campers gave their all—not just to earn points, but to support one another, encourage teammates, build friendships, demonstrate sportsmanship, and create memories that will last a lifetime. As the competition came to a close, campers from both teams embraced, congratulated one another, and celebrated an unforgettable week together. The respect and encouragement shown between the Red Alexes and Blue Martys was a beautiful reminder that the true spirit of MAC is found in the friendships, teamwork, and community it creates.

Moments later, the red and blue shirts disappeared as campers changed back into their colorful camp clothes. The friendly rivalry was officially over, and Camp Coleman became one united community once again, ready to welcome Shabbat together.

While MAC 2026 has come to an end, the memories made, the confidence built, the friendships strengthened, and the Camp Coleman spirit that filled every corner of camp will stay with our campers long after the final cheers faded. And that is the t
