Joining the year-round team are incredible staff members who are multi-talented and bring many years of experience and passion to their positions!
Abby Limor - Bonim Unit Head
Hi everyone! My name is Abby, and I am beyond excited to be returning to Camp Coleman as the Bonim Unit Head! I have been immersed in the Coleman community for the past 5 summers as a Quest Jr. counselor and the Yeladim Unit Head. I graduated from the College of Charleston in December 2024 with my Bachelors in Psychology and I currently work as a preschool teacher at Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell, GA.
When I am not at camp you can find me rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with my friends and dogs! I am counting down the days until I can return to Coleman; roast s’mores around the fire pit, participate in Shabbat walk, cheer on the campers during MAC, and appreciate the beauty of camp. Above all else I am excited to reunite with returning members of the Coleman community and to get to know all the new campers and staff members who will be experiencing Coleman for the first time this summer!
Sophie Borowski - Kochavim Unit Head
Hi! My name is Sophie Borowski and I’m sooo excited to be back for my 3rd summer as a unit head! This will be my 4th summer on staff and 5th summer overall at camp. This May I am graduating with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from USF, and while I’m excited to use that degree at some point, I’m planning on volunteering around Europe after camp! I absolutely cannot wait for this summer and I am looking forward to having the best one yet in my favorite place with my favorite people! Its my honor and privilege to help the next generation create new memories like the ones I have from camp that I cherish so deeply <3
Ian Linder Sheldon - Solelim Unit Head
Hi! My name is Ian Linder Sheldon. I’m 25 years old, I live in Coral Gables, Florida, and I serve as a Teen and Youth Counselor at Temple Judea as part of the URJ CLASP Fellowship, a program that connects synagogue youth professionals with URJ camps year-round. This will be my 14th summer at Coleman and my first as Solelim Unit Head!
Looking back, Coleman has been one of the most formative threads running through my life. As a camper from 2011 through 2016, it was my sandbox a place to grow, make mistakes, figure out what being Jewish meant to me, and build friendships that have lasted well beyond the summer. When I crossed over to staff in 2019, I fell even deeper in love with what camp can do for kids. After several years as a counselor, I had the incredible privilege of joining the Yallah! Israel trip in 2023, and then returning in 2024 as the Machon Programmer for many of those same campers.
Last summer as Kochavim Unit Head was a milestone, stepping into a leadership role and learning what it means to support not just campers, but also the staff within it. Now I get to continue that journey with so many of those same kids as they move into Solelim, while welcoming new campers into this amazing group. That continuity means everything to me.
Emily Hogwood - Tsofim Unit HEad
Hi! My name is Emily and I am so excited to be joining Camp Coleman as Tsofim Unit Head this summer! I spent six amazing summers as a camper at Coleman and am thrilled to return! I am finishing my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and plan to pursue my doctorate next. I love being part of a team and helping create an upbeat, encouraging atmosphere for both campers and staff.
Outside of camp, you can usually find me studying or spending time outdoors. I love kayaking, fishing, bird watching, and hiking. I also really value time with my friends and family, by tradition we go to minor league baseball games together whenever we can.
I’m especially excited to be part of the moments that make a summer at Coleman so special; from dancing at song session to enjoying apple brown betty. Most of all, I’m looking forward to getting to know each camper and staff member and helping create a summer full of connection, growth, and fun!
Eliana Bloom - Nachshonim Unit HEad
Hi everyone! My name is Eliana and I am SO excited to be the Nachshonim unit head this summer! This will be my 16th summer at camp, and 5th on staff! I am from Tampa, Florida and am finishing my BA in Anthropology with a minor in classics at the University of Florida. In the fall I will be moving to DC to start my Master’s degree in Forensic Science at The George Washington University!
Growing up at camp I loved being in the musical, going on the ropes course, and doing everything in the art room! You will always find me sporting a tie dye t-shirt and you can definitely come find me to start your lanyard!
I absolutely loved being a unit head last summer and I can’t wait to make this summer even better!!!
Yael Litwak - Kesher Unit Head
Hi everyone! My name is Yael Litwak and I am so excited to return to camp for my 5th year on staff at the Kesher Unit Head! I am graduating in May from the University of Central Florida (go knights!) with a degree in Event Management. Outside of class, I am an active member of Alpha Epsilon Phi and UCF’s Dance Marathon program, Knight-Thon.
This will be my 13th summer at Coleman and I am so lucky to be back with my favorite people. Growing up in Miami, FL I always loved coming to camp for the nature, mountains and water. I love arts & crafts, celebrating Shabbat, the ropes course and being surrounded by friends- new and old. I can’t wait to connect with the campers and staff and make it a memorable summer!
Naomi Litwak - Chalutzim Unit Head
Hi everyone! My name is Naomi, and I am BEYOND excited to be the Chalutzim Unit Head this summer! It will be my 8th summer on staff (5th as a unit head) but first time working with Chalutzim. I have been a part of the Camp Coleman community since I was 11 years old! I am so happy to be returning to my favorite place and for the chance to build exciting traditions with our oldest campers.
I currently work as the Director of Youth Programming at Congregation Schaarai Zedek in Tampa, FL, getting to share my love of camp with my K-12 kids! When I’m not at camp or working, I enjoy any kind of crafting (especially crochet), reading, and traveling. My favorite camp activities are Metals and Israeli Scouts, playing frisbee on the LAF and just getting to walk around camp! I cannot wait to be a part of the magic this summer and help campers build unforgettable memories!
Bryan Kellert - Machon Unit & Aquatics Coordinator
Hey! My name is Bryan Kellert, and I’m thrilled to be back at camp this summer once again as the Machon and Aquatics Coordinator! My Coleman journey started back in 2001 as a camper, now in my 12th summer on staff, I look forward to returning to work with our staff-in-training program alongside our incredible Machon team AND with our amazing Aquatics team to provide incredible programs and experiences all throughout our camp!
Outside of camp, I spend my time in a variety of roles connected by my passion for leadership development and experiential learning. Whether it’s teaching in religious schools, running corporate team-building programs, business consulting, or instructing martial arts classes, these have all led to my love for training the leaders of our camp (On Land or In the Water!) I am truly looking forward to working with our Machon and Aquatics Staff to create so many incredible experiences for all of our campers for years to come!
Rachel Levi- Taste of coleman
Hi!! My name is Rachel, and I am BEYOND excited to return to Camp Coleman this summer as the Taste of Coleman Unit Head! This will be my 11th summer at camp and 6th year on staff—most recently serving as the 2024 Bonim Unit Head and 2025 TOC Unit Head. I am currently in my first year of medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and will be entering my second year in Fall 2026 (future camp doctor!!). Coleman is truly my home away from home. My favorite camp activities include swimming in the lake and pool, spending time in the Minsky, and experiencing the togetherness and community of Shabbat through t’fillah and song sessions. My favorite part of camp is creating magical moments that become lifelong memories for campers and staff alike. I can’t wait to welcome our newest Taste of Coleman and Bonim campers and share my deep love for the Coleman community with them!!
Robyn Nolan - Sports Coordinator
Hi Camp Coleman family! I am so excited to return to camp for my fourth summer – and second summer as Sports Coordinator. As a lifelong camp person, I know firsthand how special camp is, and I truly believe that Camp Coleman is the happiest and most magical place.
Sports and fitness are a huge part of my life! I love the way sports challenge both the body and mind. Sports build resilience, confidence, and teamwork, while inspiring meaningful personal growth. The lessons and skills kids gain through camp sports extend far beyond their time at camp.
I cannot wait to share my passion for fitness, sports, and teamwork with you! I look forward to an amazing summer filled with energy, movement, and lots of fun on the courts and fields!
Lucinda Traves - Media Coordinator
I first came to camp in 2016, and I’m so excited to be back for my fourth summer on the media team and my third as Media Coordinator! After studying fashion at the University of Lincoln and training as an Art and Design teacher at Liverpool Hope University, I spent eight years teaching before moving into my current role managing a ceramics studio.
Camp has such a special place in my heart, and I love getting to capture all the laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments that make each summer so magical. You’ll usually find me with a camera in hand trying to bottle up that camp feeling so it can last all year long. I can’t wait for another incredible summer
Grace Sherman - Arts and Crafts Coordinator
For 33 years, Grace Sherman has been bringing creativity to life at Camp Coleman—shaping our Arts and Crafts Program into the vibrant, hands-on Art Center campers love today. In honor of Grace’s 30 years as Art Director, the Art Room was renamed ‘Graceland’.
A place where you are welcomed to a unique experience in a limitless art environment, exploding with creativity, where people are encouraged to flourish and inspired to create, a place where Grace has impacted the lives of Coleman campers, staff, and Coleman itself.
Working in a wide variety of materials and techniques, her enthusiasm is contagious—whether you’re a seasoned artist or just picking up a paintbrush for the very first time, she believes in the boundless imagination and vast potential of others, especially when working together. Originally from New York City, Grace earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art and Philosophy from Barnard College. She is a nationally recognized, award winning, multi–media and Glass artist.
Rachel Wolman - Music Coordinator
Hi! My name is Rachel Wolman and I’m SUPER PUMPED to be your music coordinator this summer. I grew up going to an all girls Jewish sleepaway camp in Maryland and eventually went to the beloved URJ Kutz Camp in high school. This summer will be my 17th summer working at sleepaway camp! In fact I haven’t missed a summer of camp since I started going to camp at 9 years old. During the year I travel all over the country songleading and building music programming for different Jewish institutions. When I’m not traveling you can find me leading services at home with my wife who is a rabbi at our local small reform synagogue, Congregation Or Ami in Richmond, Virginia. I also have a strong passion for all breads and specifically bagels. I will always want to hear your hot takes on carbs of all kinds.
Alyssa Allen - Performing Arts Coordinator
Alyssa Allen cannot wait to return “home” to her second summer at Camp Coleman!
She was thrilled to bring the productions of Moana Jr. and Aladdin Jr. to life last summer and can’t wait to bring you show-stopping theater this summer! Alyssa holds the titles of teacher, playwright, director, and all-the-time mother of two. She is an elementary school teacher who has dedicated her after-school career to directing and creating musical theater programs for children as well as community theater for her South Florida Jewish community. Alyssa holds a Master of Science in Television Production from Boston University. Her accolades in playwriting and her work with Animal Planet, WGBH, WLRN and EXTRA have made esteemed contributions to the world of entertainment. Alyssa has directed over sixty musicals and teaches acting, comedy and improv classes. She is so excited to bring the ruach to her Coleman Camp family.
Lauren Zeichner - Campscape Coordinator
Lauren is a lifelong learner in many disciplines. She holds a B.A in Psychology and a B.Sc. in Neurobiology and Comparative Physiology. With a Masters in Landscape Architecture, Lauren embarked on a career teaching at UGA in the College of Environmental Design, and in private practice as a Registered Landscape Architect. Her specialty has been developing outdoor teaching facilities. For 31 years URJ Camp Coleman has been her summer home and laboratory.
She created and developed the Campscape program here at camp. This unique program encompasses a large teaching garden, garden crafts, and barnyard animals. Teaching through a “Jewish lens”, she encourages learning to work together, appreciating the everyday miracles all around us, and creating beauty from what we discard.
Lauren lives in Athen’s, GA., where she is a ceramicist, and studies in the art school at UGA. Her three children grew up at Camp Coleman, and her dream is that her three young grandchildren also become part of the Coleman community.
Judy Limor - Etgar Coordinator
Hi! I’m Judy Limor and I can’t wait to return to the position of Etgar Coordinator for Summer 2026! This year marks 36 seasons since I first set foot on Camp Coleman’s property and my 8th full summer on staff. I am the leader of Coleman’s outdoor adventure specialty camp, Coleman Quest, and have previously served in the roles of counselor, Head Song Leader, faculty, and Head of Ropes, along with being Etgar Coordinator 2022-2024.
This summer promises to be full of fun and memories. I look forward to meeting each and every camper on Opening Day and seeing them again for unit campfires. Whether you like running up the warped wall, sliding down a zip line, searching for crawfish in the creek, snuggling with goats, drinking limonana, hanging with the scouts, practicing your martial arts skills, or just eating the perfect smore – you can count on it being great! See you in a few months!
