Talk about an adventure! Coleman Quest, Camp Coleman’s outdoor adventure specialty program for rising 7th and 8th graders, just wrapped up its 2026 session, and the campers had an absolute BLAST!
Over 12 unforgettable days, Questies hiked scenic trails, climbed rock faces, slept under the stars in tents, cooked their own meals—including quesadillas and Eggs in a Hole—and embraced every adventure that came their way. Each day brought new challenges, new discoveries, and countless opportunities to step outside of their comfort zones.
For many campers, the highlights included a day trip to Mount Yonah, where they tackled a two-mile hike before spending hours rock climbing on the mountain’s exposed face. Another favorite was the annual expedition to Cloudland Canyon, where campers explored Sitton’s Cave, hiked into the canyon, and took in breathtaking views from the canyon rim.
While the adventures were unforgettable, Quest is about so much more than hiking and climbing. Some of the most meaningful moments happened around the campfire—sharing stories, roasting s’mores (so many s’mores!), laughing together, and building friendships that will last long after summer ends. Throughout the program, campers were encouraged to identify their core values, reflect on who they are, and grow into confident, compassionate leaders. It’s an experience that is truly transformative.
The impact of Quest isn’t just felt by the campers. As one counselor shared, they were “greeted with kindness, understanding, care, maturity, and compassion from each and every kid. It…will stick with me always.” Those words perfectly capture the incredible community that makes Coleman Quest so special.
Take a look at Quest’s action-packed days and all of the memories made along the way! Know someone who would love this experience in 2027? Send them our way—we can’t wait to welcome the next group of Questies on their own unforgettable adventure!
