Our camper bunks can sleep an average of 12 people on bunk beds on each side of the cabin. Full bathrooms are within each bunk. Cabins have a porch with either a view of Lake Shalom or the surrounding woods for guests to enjoy. We have a limited number of cabins with heat during cooler months of the year.
Our Health Center can sleep up to 21 people on bunk beds in 7 dorm-style rooms. Guests share communal bathrooms located in the main hallway. The facility is heated and air conditioned for use at anytime during our off-season months.
Nurse Quarters Rooms
There are 4 nurse rooms with varying number of sleeping spaces. Each room has an exterior entrance with private bathroom. Rooms contain a combination of bunk and twin beds and are also heated and air conditioned.
***The Health Center is not used as a medical clinic during our off-season months. It is the responsibility of your retreat group to provide a qualified medical person and your own medication and first aid equipment for your group’s time with us.***
The Staff Dormitory can sleep up to 20 people in 10 rooms with 2 single beds and a bathroom in each room. The building is heated and can be used year-round, including during cooler months of our off season.
The Dorothy and Alvin Hamburger Lodge and Alumni Lounge

Our dining hall serves duel functions for many retreat groups. It is large enough to seat 700 for meals. For smaller groups, not only will it be home to breakfast, lunch and dinner, it can also be used as program and meeting space. Air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter, this proves especially useful in extreme weather conditions. Meals are prepared by Ms. Nellie Ward, who has loyally served the Camp Coleman retreat groups for more than 35 years as our head cook.
The lodge-like Minsky Center can serve a variety of functions for your group. It can accommodate a small arts & crafts program, games or ice breakers or it can be your group’s main meeting locale with breakout rooms for larger groups or conferences. It has heat and a fireplace to keep your group warm during cooler months.
The Minsky also features the Mirpeset, a wooded porch with a stunning view of Lake Shalom.
Lower Athletic Field
Camp Coleman’s Lower Athletic Field is centrally located and offers a great spot for any outdoor activity or program. Whether an organized game or just to run around, your group will love it!
It also is fully lit for nighttime use.
This open-aired gymnasium is a perfect weather-protected sports venue.
The Elisheva is an open-air facility with view of Lake Shalom and surrounding woods. It provides plenty of floor space for larger groups, as well as a stage for groups whose activities include special performances.
A small pavilion located at the end of the Lower Athletic Field, the Ulam Katan is great for games or as a meeting area.
Sukkah Alef, Bet, Gimel, Dalet
These four pavilions sit around Lake Shalom and can be used for a variety of activities or as meeting space (with amazing views!) for your group.
Situated between the Dining Hall and Health Center, Sands Plaza is a great place to sit and relax. The plaza features a flower garden, benches and pond. It also offers some amazing views of the Lower Athletic Field and surrounding mountains.
