Coleman Quest 2025: Outdoor Adventure

Coleman Quest is an outdoor adventure summer camp program specifically designed for rising 6th – 10th graders looking for a non-traditional camp experience.

Grounded in the phrase Chazak v’Amatz (“Be Strong and Courageous”), Quest campers seek to push beyond their limits and expand their comfort zone both above ground and below. Activities in and out of camp help kids and teens develop an awareness of who they are, what they can do, and who they can become. Coleman Quest also provides numerous opportunities to conquer our new Courageous Warrior Course.

Coleman Quest Jr.

(Rising 6th Grade)

Our introductory program, Quest, Jr., is an 8-day, 7-night adventure for rising 6th graders. Campers in Quest, Jr. challenge themselves in myriad ways – working as a team to build their tents and prepare meals and stretching to reach individual goals on Camp Coleman’s Courageous Warrior Course. They have opportunities to explore the outdoors while hiking a 6-mile section of the historic Appalachian Trail and conquer their fears as they whitewater kayak the Chattahoochee.

Coleman Quest

(Rising 7th & 8th Grade)

The original Quest program is an 11-night, 12-day experience for rising 7th and 8th graders. Built around the tenets of GRIT (Growth, Respect, Integrity, and Trust), Quest utilizes Camp Coleman’s Challenge Course and Courageous Warrior Course to create team and individual growth opportunities to meet campers where they are and move them forward. The small group and high staff: camper ratio enables all participants to explore their true selves (not just who they are for friends or social media) and discover ways to increase the confidence necessary to share that truth with others. During their stay at Coleman, Quest campers will camp out in tents, learn to prepare and cook meals over the fire, and develop a comfort in the outdoors. The program includes a day hike and rock climbing on Mt. Yonah and a 3-day camping trip off-site.

Coleman Quest 2.0

(Rising 9th & 10th Grade)

Our newest offering, Quest 2.0 is a 4-night, 5-day backpacking trip spanning approximately 20 miles on the Benton Mackaye and Appalachian Trails. At each campsite, participants will have the opportunity for group programming and bonding activities. They will also be fully responsible for all food preparation and clean up, as well as setting up and breaking down their own tents. Quest 2.0 campers are expected to have previous experience tent camping, cooking, and hiking in the outdoors.
