We’re thrilled to introduce you to our fantastic, talented, and passionate team of supervisors who will be ensuring our campers and staff have a fun,  memorable, and safe summer. Joining the year-round team are incredible staff members who are multi-talented and bring many years of experience and passion to their positions:

Hannah Standiford - Yeladim Unit HEad

Hannah is so excited to return to camp for a second summer, and a first time as unit head! She loves working with kids, and especially enjoys the Jewish connection that is instilled in them each day at Coleman. Hannah looks forward to continuing to build connections with new kids and staff members as well. She can’t wait for so much more kef!!

Naomi Litwak - Bonim Unit Head

Naomi is beyond excited to be a Unit Head at camp for the first time this summer! It will be her 4th year on staff and she is so happy to be returning to her favorite place on earth. Naomi graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Social Work and a minor in Judaic Studies and will be starting as the Director of Youth Programming at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Naomi has been part of the Camp Coleman community since she was 11-years-old. She is eager to take on this new role and welcome everyone back to camp! 

Seth Cohen - Kochavim Unit Head

Seth is excited to be returning to Camp Coleman as a unit head! He spent 4 amazing summers at Camp Coleman as a camper, and is now back for his 2nd summer on Staff. Seth attend Penn State and earned a degree in Meteorology. Seth currently lives in Miami Beach, where during the school year, he works at Temple Beth Sholom as a CLASP Fellow (Camp Leadership and Synagogue Professional). When not at camp, you can find him at the beach, hanging out with friends and rooting on his Philly sports teams. Seth can’t wait for the summer to start and is looking forward to having the best summer yet with Kochavim!

Amanda Glatter - Solelim Unit HEad

Amanda is thrilled to return to Coleman for her third year on staff and her first year as Solelim unit head! She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2020 with a B.S. in Environmental Health and a minor in Spanish. She has spent the last two years as a lab technician, researching antibiotic resistance carriage and cryptosporidium DNA. In the fall, she will attend Yale University for her Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology. In her free time, she loves to roller-skate, do yoga, and cook. She is so excited to dance with her unit during song session and have the best summer ever!

Marlee Gordon - Tsofim Unit HEad

Returning for her sixth summer on staff, Marlee is overjoyed to be spending her summer as the Tsofim Unit Head. During her non-camp months, Marlee is currently residing in Miami where she is pursuing her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at Florida International University. Growing up in the suburbs north of Atlanta, Marlee has spent almost every summer of her entire life at Coleman and cannot imagine anywhere else she would rather be. This summer, Marlee hopes to share the magic and spirit of camp with a new generation of campers!

Sarah Cotler - Nachshonim Unit Head

Sarah Cotler is our Nachshonim Unit Head this summer and serves as the Experiential Education Director at Temple Judea in Coral Gables, FL giving her the opportunity to work with youth of all ages in many fun and unique ways.Having grown up in South Florida, Sarah was a member of NFTY-STR and a camper at URJ Camp Coleman. She has been a member of the Coleman community since 2005 and is now going into her 8th year on staff. She has had the opportunity to work as a general counselor, a unit programmer, and a unit head. Sarah’s love for Jewish youth work started when she was young, and she is so excited to be able to continue to grow within the Camp Coleman community.

Ben Rembaum - Kesher Unit HEad

Ben is beyond excited to be coming back to camp this summer as a second time unit head. Ben has been coming to camp since 2011 and has been on staff every summer since 2018. He cannot wait to be at his home away from home! Ben just graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Economics. He is looking forward to meeting all the campers and enthralling them with the best summer to date!

Scott Gerstel - Chalutzim Unit Head

Scott Gerstel graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2018 . After college he worked for Alpha Epsilon Pi, traveling to visit chapters and encourage brotherhood participation in civic engagement. Scott went on to work at TAMID Group, a non-profit connecting students to Israel by consulting Israeli tech start-ups and investing in Israeli companies. Most recently he worked at an Education Technology company working in partner operations. On his free time, Scott likes to be outside in nature, travel, and staff birthright trips. Scott recently got back from a two month trip to Colombia, and is thrilled to be returning to camp as the Chalutzim unit head!

Lauren Davis - Machon Unit Head

Lauren is thrilled to be the Machon Director at camp for the first time this summer! Not only will it be her 7th year on staff at Coleman, but more importantly, she is extremely excited to be returning to her favorite place in the entire world and to be working with our Counselors in Training to help them become the best potential staff members they can be. Lauren is currently the Spanjer/Bricks Youth Engagement Coordinator at Temple Kol Emeth in Marietta, GA. She attended Florida State University and received a major in Music with a minor in Child Development and graduated in Spring 2020. Lauren grew up in South Florida and has been a part of the Camp Coleman community since she was 7-years-old. She is looking forward to taking on this role with enthusiasm, engaging and educating our teens, and helping to create the best summer possible for our Machon.

 

 

Lucinda Traves - Tarbut/Omanut Coordinator

Lucinda is returning to Coleman for her 5th summer this year in the role of Tarbut/Omanut coordinator! Lucinda has previously worked in the aquatics department, the art rooms, and in photography, and is excited to be taking this next step into a different role at camp! Lucinda graduated from University of Lincoln with a degree in fashion, and continued on to complete her postgraduate degree in Secondary School education at Liverpool Hope University, and since graduating has been working as a high school art and graphics teacher. She is excited to be travelling back over from England for another summer of fun with her favourite people in her favourite place, and is excited to help campers make memories that will last a lifetime!”

Brian Jonas - Sports Coordinator

Brian or “Jonas” as all of you call me is happy and proud to come back to my second home, Camp Coleman!!!!  This is my sixth summer on staff as the Sports Coordinator.  I am a middle school teacher at Coleman Middle School in Tampa, FL during the school year and attend camp with my two daughters Violet and Chloe.  I have been attending sleep away camps since I was seven years old, and I am so grateful that I get to share this awesome experience with the campers this summer.  This will be the best summer yet, and I look forward to spending time with all of you on the fields!!!!  See you soon.

Olivia Traves - Aquatics Coordinator

Olivia is excited to be returning to camp as the Aquatics Coordinator this year!  Having grown up in Cheshire, England, Olivia first came to Coleman in 2018, and has returned each summer. Olivia graduated from Edge Hill University with a 1st class honors in Drama in 2019, and she currently works as a swim teacher and lifeguard; which she has been doing since 2013! With all of her experience in Aquatics, Olivia is eager to be bringing her knowledge, and passion back to the Aquatics department, and she can’t wait to be back helping to create amazing memories of everyone’s best summer yet!

Judy Limor - Etgar Coordinator / Coleman Quest Program Leader

Judy first joined the Coleman community as a SEFTYite in 1990. She has since been involved with camp in many ways, including counselor, Song leader, and faculty, and most recently supports Coleman’s year-round programming as a Challenge Course Facilitator. Judy is excited to be joining Coleman’s staff as the Program Leader for Coleman Quest and can’t wait to kick off this new specialty camp for the Summer of 2022. She brings to the Coleman family her love of the outdoors, her extensive training in experiential education, and a passion for working with teens.

Judy has a Master’s of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and has worked in education for more than 20 years. In the off-season, she is the Assistant Head of School at The GLOBE Academy in Atlanta, GA. Judy lives in Dunwoody with her husband and 3 children and enjoys hiking and spending time outside.

Brad Covert - Head of Media

Brad Covert has spent over 7 years in the Coleman community. He has had many roles, including being a roller hockey specialist, counselor,  and most recently our photographer. Brad and his family of 6 reside in Alpharetta, GA. He has 4 children, Brady, Paxton, Zev, and Levi. He graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in Media and Communications with an emphasis on Film and Photography. When he isn’t at camp, he is a career photographer/videographer and film teacher. He is very excited to manage our whole media team this year.

Jordan Wilensky - Head of Music

I’ve been song leading for over 8 years now, This is my 6th summer at Coleman and my first summer as music director! I am born and raised in Miami, FL and I will be starting a new job this fall at the Temple in ATL as the Songleader/Tefillah Specialist. I have been playing guitar since I was 9 years old and have always had a strong passion for music. In my free time I enjoy working on cars, fixing various musical instruments, and other general maintenance. I write and record both secular and Jewish music. Looking forward to another great summer and hopefully more!”

Mollie Brusca - Head Nurse

Mollie is happy to be co-leading the nursing staff this summer.  This will be her third summer on staff and is excited to return to such a great place! Mollie currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia and has two excited campers. She has been a nurse for over 12 years and has practiced as a Nurse practitioner for 4 years. She grew up in Ohio and attended a URJ sister camp. She is looking forward to a great summer!

Neri Thompson - Head Nurse

Neri is so excited to be back at Camp Coleman this year as a Head Nurse in the Health Center. Not only does she have over 17 years of nursing experience, this is her 3rd year on staff at camp.  Neri is mom of 3 Camp Coleman campers, she also enjoys being a camp mom to all. Neri looks forward to getting to know your kids this summer!
