This summer is all about connection, and Kesher campers are doing just that. Through new friendships made in popular activities, Gaga and Coleman Rocks, and through teamwork during exciting evening programs like Capture the Flag, Kesher is growing closer as unit and community.

Kesher campers have been enjoying the new Learning and Belonging (LaB) period which focuses on Jewish learning in engaging ways. As an older unit, Kesher campers are able to choose a LaB elective. Some options have included discussing the role of humor in Judaism and analyzing Taylor Swift songs from a Jewish perspective.

Each night ends with siyyum, an opportunity for the unit to sit in circle and sing familiar songs. In between songs, many campers have chosen to give a “siyyum speech,” sharing their camp story with the unit.

With a few weeks left in the session, Kesher campers are ready to take on new adventures and continue building lasting connections with one another.
