Bonim has been having a great first week at camp so far. On opening day, the campers unpacked, settled in, and met the other campers in their bunks. During the day, they got to play on the slip-and-slide and go on a scavenger hunt. That night, at evening program, we did mixers and played with legos to meet all of the new friends in our unit.
The following days we took our unit/bunk pictures, went to the pool to take our swim test and had free swim. Everyone got to cool down since it’s been really warm and sunny at camp. We’ve been playing an assortment of sports and games and trying out new activities in Etgar, Tarbut, and Omanut. In LaB (Learning and Belonging) the campers have gotten to bond with their bunks and explore what kind of strengths they bring to camp. We have had our first t’fillah services of the session and have had the chance to sing some really fun songs.
We got to have game night at the evening program and play Just Dance, Uno, and Jenga, and Apples to Apples and we even had a reverse talent show. All of the campers are super enthusiastic and having a great time. Bonim is already having the best session ever and we’re looking forward to an amazing summer!
