Our Tsofim unit at URJ Camp Coleman is thriving as our campers dive into a week packed with enriching experiences. Named after the Hebrew word for “scouts,” Tsofim embodies our campers’ adventurous spirit, fostering personal growth, friendship, and a deeper connection to their Jewish identity. Our campers have been immersed in a multitude of activities designed to inspire and challenge them. From navigating the ropes course to honing their skills in sports like frisbee, basketball, roller hockey, tennis, volleyball, and fitness, every day is filled with excitement and new discoveries.
For those seeking to push their limits, activities such as archery, the warrior course, and Krav Maga provide opportunities for physical and mental resilience. Beyond physical pursuits, our campers are exploring their Jewish heritage through engaging activities such as Jewish cooking classes, culturally infused dance sessions, and thoughtful discussions about their traditions and values.
Looking ahead, we have some eagerly anticipated events on our schedule. One of these is Yom Kev, our upcoming water day extravaganza! It promises a day of laughter and fun as campers enjoy water slides, games, and refreshing activities under the summer sun. Another highlight approaching is Mac, a spirited event where the camp is divided into two teams for friendly competitive activities. It’s a time for our camp community to come together in spirited rivalry, showcasing teamwork, sportsmanship, and the vibrant camp spirit that defines our summers at Camp Coleman.
