A little over halfway through the second session, Nachshomin is still going strong. From late-night cabin chats to visiting the goats at Campscape, campers are having new experiences and learning the values of Shalom (peace) and Kehilah (community). Although it’s been pretty rainy, there are still smiles everywhere, and camp is just what we came here for. On the first night, severe weather hit and we had to do T’filah in the Chadar. At that moment, it was obvious that this session was going to be something unique and special.
We have had awesome evening programs to build community, laugh together, and create lasting memories. Examples of these programs include Capture the Flag, a staff fashion show, Gaga for Gaga, and Alien Night. In our remaining days, we have a camper rendition of The Lion King musical, our last Shabbat, and many other exciting Evening Programs. The Nachshomimers are maturing and growing into respectful and kind camp leaders, setting the standard for our younger units.
