Etgar is more than an activity—it’s an invitation. An invitation to step outside your comfort zone, get a little messy, and try something entirely new. It’s where a camper might hold a salamander, lache across a warrior course, or taste garden-fresh shakshuka for the first time. From fire-building to balloon-popping archery, Etgar is where campers lean into challenge and come out stronger, dirtier, and grinning.

Supervised by Li-Mor Raviv, the Etgar program brings together the best of outdoor learning, cultural exploration, and hands-on fun—all driven by specialists from across the globe.

Let’s take a lap around this wild corner of camp:

🧗‍♀️ Ropes: Challenge Accepted
This crew? Absolute legends. Whether campers are crossing Stepping Stones, strategizing their way through Islands, flying down a zip line during Mandatory Optionals, or lache-ing through the Warrior Course, Ropes is where confidence is built and limits are tested.

It’s all led by a powerhouse team of adventure experts under the leadership of Judy Limor:
Fredy Korkin (Israel), Findlay McCann (UK), Harriet Berry (Australia), Liad Luzon (Israel), Jet Moore (UK), and Hannah Gregory (Australia).
From the ground to the sky (and sometimes halfway upside down), they’re bringing safety, energy, and encouragement to every climb, swing, and victory dance.

🎯 Archery with Isabel (Mexico)
Balloon targets. Calm focus. And the satisfying thwack of a perfect shot. Isabel’s archery range has been a camper favorite, where even our youngest sharpshooters are landing bull’s-eyes. A Bonim camper (age 7) is already plotting an Olympic future in competitive balloon-popping.

🌿 Teva (Nature) with Paddy (Ireland)
Out on the trail, Paddy is part teacher, part wilderness wizard. Campers explored from hammocks to Strauss Chapel, spotting salamanders, identifying poison ivy, and learning how to start a fire with just a magnifying glass. (It worked. We supervised.)

🌱 Campscape Garden & Farm with Charlie (Australia) and Zilpah (Uganda)
Campers dug into the dirt and the joy of farm life. Tomatoes were planted, goats were fed (including Mama Goat Addie and her bouncing babies), and homemade shakshuka was devoured. Bonus moment? Saturday’s lemonana made the whole garden smell like mint and sunshine.

🎨 Campscape Craft with Sara (Mexico) and Zilpah (Uganda)
In a cozy corner of the garden, nature became art. Campers created with leaves, twigs, and glue—lots of glue. Finger-sticking was brief. The creativity? Limitless.

⛺ Israeli Scouts with Adva & Itay (Israel)
Pita roasted on the fire. Knots tied with care. Campers learned classic Israeli games and soaked up the sweet, smoky magic of a true kumzitz. Chocolate-stuffed pita = instant favorite.

🥋 Krav Maga with Kfir (Israel)
It’s not just punches and blocks. Kfir’s Krav Maga sessions focus on confidence, self-defense, and showing respect. Campers are learning to channel their strength—and maybe strike a superhero pose or two along the way.

Why Etgar?
Because this is the heart of camp adventure.
Etgar brings together global voices, big challenges, and hands-on learning. It’s where campers discover new passions, face fears, and walk away a little braver (and usually a little muddier). Whether they’re climbing, crafting, cooking, or connecting—it all happens here.
