This week in Nachshonim was all about fun, connection, and a little bit of musical magic.

One of the most memorable moments came after our unit’s Siyyum the other night. What started as a casual hangout turned into an impromptu song session. Campers gathered together, belting out their favorite tunes, laughing, and soaking in the joy of simply being together. No one planned it—but sometimes, those are the best kinds of moments at camp.

Another highlight came during a quieter moment. While I was on OD (on duty) with my own cabin, I brought out my ukulele and played a song just for them. They listened, smiled, and asked for more. It was simple, sweet, and everything I love about camp life.

We also took a break from the usual routine for Trip Day, giving campers a chance to step out of camp and dive into adventure. While it’s a classic part of the Coleman experience, it was a first for many Nachshonimers this session—and definitely a day they won’t forget.

This week was full of the kind of moments that make camp feel like home. Can’t wait to see what next week brings.
