This week in Solelim was full of laughter, learning, and leadership. The vibe? Totally connected and delightfully goofy. From values-based adventures to unforgettable camp traditions, our group really came together in a meaningful way.
In LaB, we explored the Solelim Values Map—building our own trail as we discussed Courage and made our way through Snappy’s Chesed Creek. The campers took these values to heart, and it showed in everything they did, especially during our unit-led service. The amount of care they put into writing, practicing, and learning prayers was inspiring. The result? A beautiful and thoughtful service that received glowing praise from our clergy and senior leadership.
Of course, no week at camp would be complete without a little chaos—and Super Sloppy delivered. Campers who were hesitant at first ended up diving in (sometimes literally), and it was a blast to see the entire unit covered in colorful mess and laughter.
A special shoutout to 14B, who got to spend menucha at Amy’s House after winning the birthday wheel spin! They enjoyed some candy, quality time, and a meaningful chat with Amy about what they love at camp and what they hope to see in the future. It was a sweet moment in more ways than one.
Finally, we want to recognize Noah Kraar for showing true leadership and kindness. He’s been helping set and clear his cabin’s table without being asked and is always there to support his bunkmates. He’s the kind of camper who makes our community stronger just by being himself.
What a week. Solelim is hitting its stride, and we can’t wait to see what next week brings.
