This week in Solelim was high-energy and full of surprises. The group brought nonstop spirit and a whole lot of noise — especially during our impromptu pillow fight after a camp-wide Camp Rock movie night.
We celebrated a fun coincidence when two campers in the same bunk discovered they share a birthday — and have spent the rest of the day answering the same question on repeat: “Are you twins?” Spoiler alert: they’re not even related.
We also welcomed our new Unit Head, Sophie Borowski, to the Solelim crew! Her arrival was already planned, but that didn’t stop campers from giving her the full Coleman welcome — including a pie to the face on day two. Initiation complete.
One of the biggest highlights of the week was cheering on our cast members in Moana Jr., performed in the Harris Center. Three Solelim campers absolutely crushed it on stage, and the rest of the unit was right there in the audience, singing along and soaking up the spotlight vibes.
And of course, we have to shout out Harper, who embodies pure kindness. Whether it’s helping Scotti manage with a broken finger or carrying multiple bags of laundry for campers she doesn’t even know, she’s the kind of mensch that makes Solelim shine.
