This week in Chalutzim, the energy was high and the connection even higher. One of the most memorable moments? Our “Chopped” evening program, where eight teams took on the ultimate culinary challenge—using candy as their main ingredient. From gummy bear appetizers to marshmallow-stuffed “entrées” and chocolatey desserts, the creativity was chaotic and hilarious.
Friday night brought a more heartfelt highlight. We held our own Chalutzim song session followed by an appreciation circle, where campers opened up about how meaningful this first week has been. For many, it’s their final year as campers, and that reality is making each moment together feel extra special.
When rain rolled in on Saturday, we made the most of it with cabin bonding time—playing games, hanging out, and just enjoying each other’s company. Despite the weather, the vibes never dropped.
We also want to shout out two of our Chalutzim campers who stepped up as service leaders during Shabbat tefillah. They led with confidence and warmth, representing our unit beautifully.
