The first week of Second Session brought sunshine, song sessions, and a whole lot of heart. From the moment campers stepped off the buses, they began living out the values that make Camp Coleman feel like home. Whether it was helping a bunkmate settle in, leading by example during meals, or jumping in to support a friend, this community wasted no time showing us what Kehillah (community), Chesed (kindness), Kavod (respect), and Shalom (peace) really look like.

Camper Highlights

  • Camille A. & Claire W. (Tsofim) welcomed new campers into their bunk by showing them how camp works — and jumping in during nikayon to make sure everyone was successful. They led with kindness and made others feel included from day one.

  • Aliza E. (Kochavim) took charge of cleanup in Jewish Cooking, washing and drying dishes with care and without being asked. Her quiet leadership didn’t go unnoticed.

  • Ethan F. (Kesher) advocated for his younger brother in Bonim with maturity, empathy, and love. He turned a stressful moment into one of support and understanding.

  • Henry K. (Tsofim) stayed up late to help late-arriving campers unpack and get their beds made. Instead of relaxing, he made sure others felt at home.

  • Oscar J. (Kesher) brought both kindness and respect to his bunk — helping campers unpack, keeping up positive energy, and being the kind of person everyone wants in their corner.

  • Bex S. (Solelim) went out of her way to teach new campers how to navigate pass and stack. When they were homesick, she was the first to offer comfort.

  • Jordi A. (Bonim) consistently brings Kavod and Shalom into his interactions. He treats others with respect, shares freely, and helps keep the group connected.

  • Cameron F. & Julian B. (Nachshonim) lead by example during meals — physically and vocally stepping into their roles during pass and stack and helping their cabin move together as a team.

  • Aiden J. (Solelim) encouraged a camper sitting out of Super Sloppy to give it a try. That camper ended up having a blast — all because Aiden took the time to include him.

Staff Spotlights

Rachel F.
Rachel is a quiet powerhouse — answering every phone call with compassion, supporting campers and staff with kindness, and juggling responsibilities with calm. She’s been here for years, but continues to show up every day as a true partner and pillar of our Kehillah.

Itay R.
With his co-counselor out sick, Itay didn’t just hold things together — he elevated them. He made sure his campers stayed engaged, connected, and cared for, while teaching them the values of teamwork, cleanliness, and kindness just by how he shows up.

Niv K.
Niv brings humor, honesty, and heart into every interaction. When campers faced conflict, he didn’t just smooth it over — he taught them about Kavod and helped them grow. His ability to balance joy and intention makes him a role model at every level.

We’re only one week in, but our campers and staff are already showing what makes Session 2 so special. This community is leading with heart — and the impact is everywhere you look.
