At Camp Coleman, the magic isn’t just in the song sessions or sunset hikes. It’s in the people who keep camp running, clean, and beautiful every single day. Our Maintenance & Housekeeping team is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse that makes it all possible.

They start early, stay late, and somehow manage to be everywhere at once. Using a digital system called FIIX, they receive maintenance requests from anyone at camp and handle them based on urgency. From a broken bunk fan to a clogged sink, they’re often solving problems within the hour—quietly and efficiently.

But their work goes far beyond quick fixes. They mow acres of grass to keep our fields ready for play and drag the roads regularly to keep gravel flat and safe. They make the dust disappear by watering down the roads and somehow always keep the golf carts gassed up and ready to go. When a program needs firewood, a stage backdrop, or a last-minute slip and slide setup, they’re already on it. Whether it’s setting the scene for a musical or fixing something most people never knew was broken, they’re always a step ahead.

Equally essential is the Housekeeping team, who clean and sanitize the spaces we all use daily. After every meal, they clean the dining hall from top to bottom. Throughout the day, they sanitize high-touch surfaces, restock bathrooms, and quietly ensure that camp stays safe, healthy, and comfortable.

They don’t ask for attention—but without them, camp couldn’t function. We’re endlessly grateful for the Maintenance & Housekeeping team. They don’t just support the magic. They are the magic.
