As our Bonim campers near the end of their summer adventure, this week brought out something special—an eccentric spark and an inspired sense of purpose that lit up every corner of camp.
Bonim went all-in for MAC this week, diving into the spirited chaos with open hearts and serious sportsmanship. Whether they were cheering on their teammates or trying out new activities, they showed us what it means to bring energy, kindness, and creativity to every challenge. And speaking of creativity, one evening transformed them into secret agents. In our spy-themed evening program, Bonim decoded hidden messages, crafted their own spy gadgets, and proved that their imaginations are just as sharp as their minds.
They also had time to slow down and savor the moment—literally—around the campfire. With sticky fingers and marshmallow-stuffed smiles, they leaned into community and connection, reminding all of us that sometimes the sweetest moments come in the simplest packages.
Throughout the week, Bonim campers also showed a quiet leadership that didn’t go unnoticed. They held open doors for the entire camp during meals, picked up litter without being asked, and modeled what it means to take care of our community. Their final Bonim Buddies program with Chalutzim was a huge hit, complete with slime-making, laughter, and strong friendships that have only deepened since their first meeting.
This group has grown into compassionate leaders, curious learners, and joyful adventurers. As their session wraps up, we couldn’t be prouder of the inspired, reflective, and truly magical people they’ve become.
