For our oldest campers, the Chalutzim summer is more than just a final session — it’s a culmination of years of memories, friendships, and growth. And this session, they brought it all: spirit, pride, talent, and heart.
The adventure began with their epic Chalutzim trip, spanning Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Between amusement parks, underground waterfalls, and hours of bonding on the bus, it was the kind of journey that campers will talk about for years. No surprise that for many, it was the highlight of their summer.
Back at camp, they kept the energy high. During their Chalutzim service, campers reflected on how many years they’ve spent at Coleman and how much they’ve grown. It was a powerful reminder of the journey they’ve taken — from wide-eyed Bonim to confident leaders.
But their impact wasn’t just felt in reflection. Chalutzim absolutely crushed it in the arts this session. They rocked the stage during Coleman Rocks, forming an incredible band that had the whole room on their feet. One of their own starred as Jasmine in the camp production of Aladdin Jr. — and they lit up the stage again in the Dance and Circus Arts Showcase, performing with skill, strength, and style.
And then, there was that MAC Marathon moment: camper EB sank a half-court shot on the first try. Everyone — red and blue alike — went wild. It was pure Coleman magic.
Of course, no Chalutzim recap is complete without bow ties and sunglasses. What started as a small Shabbat tradition in Bonim has grown into a cherished ritual that now unites all the hillside cabins — a symbol of their shared history, and a legacy that’ll live on long after they’ve left.
Chalutzim showed us what it means to finish strong. To lead with joy. To leave a mark.
