We are excited to share that Camp Coleman is participating in B’yachad, a new initiative from 18Doors designed to help Jewish communities embrace and engage interfaith families in deeper and more meaningful ways.

Over the next nine months, we’ll be part of a cohort of organizations and leaders who are exploring what it truly means to create a culture of welcoming and belonging. Our first seminar focused on these themes—what it feels like to walk into a space where you know you belong, and how we as a community can intentionally create that experience for everyone.

Through B’yachad, we will be hosting listening sessions with our families. These conversations are meant to help us hear directly from you—your experiences, your needs, and your hopes—so we can strengthen the ways Coleman connects and supports families of all backgrounds.

A key part of our focus will be on how we welcome new families to camp. From the very first email or phone call, to stepping off the bus on Opening Day, we want the process of joining the Coleman community to feel natural, warm, and authentic.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and take part in this important work. As we move through the coming months, we look forward to sharing updates and inviting you into this journey of building belonging—together.
