This summer marked the second year of our host family initiative, and once again, it was fantastic! What began last year as a new way to enhance the staff’s experience and deepen connections with the Atlanta and surrounding Coleman communities has now become a beloved tradition.

Thanks to our generous families who welcomed our staff members into their homes on days off, our team had the chance to rest, recharge, and feel embraced by the broader Coleman community. Your kindness made a world of difference—especially for our international staff who are far from home. Sharing meals, exploring local neighborhoods, and simply enjoying a cozy home setting provided them with meaningful cultural experiences and the chance to truly relax.

Because of you, our staff felt cared for, supported, and reenergized to bring their very best back to camp. You not only gave them a place to rest, but you made them feel like family.

Camp Coleman is deeply grateful for your hospitality and generosity. Thank you for helping make this summer so special for our team. We are thankful for you!

If you are interested in becoming a host family for Summer 2026, please reach out to our Program Director, Sarah (Cotler) Saltzman at scotler@urj.org.
