IMPORTANT TRAVEL INSTRUCTIONS
Staff Arrival Information
- Arrival Time: Land by 5:00 PM EST
- Transportation: Bus departure 12:00 PM EST and 6:00 PM EST
- Additional Info: If arriving the night before, you will need to find your own accommodation at your expense.
- Flying
- Arrival Time: Between 9:00 AM EST and 7:00 PM EST
- Transportation: Bus departure 8:00PM EST (time may move earlier based on staff arrival times)
- Additional Info: Someone will be at the airport to watch your belongings if you arrive early and wish to explore Atlanta.

- Arrive at Camp Coleman between 2:00PM and 5:00PM.

Staff Departure Information
- JULY 3 DEPARTURE – BY PLANE: Depart from camp with campers. Supervision responsibilities may continue until all campers depart. Schedule your flight for AFTER 3:00 pm EST.
- AUGUST 2 DEPARTURE – BY PLANE: The bus departs camp at 9:00 AM and will arrive around 11:00 AM at Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Departure should be scheduled for AFTER 1:00 PM EST.
- AUGUST 4 & 9 DEPARTURE – Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Maintenance STAFF: The bus departs camp at 9:00 AM on August 4 and 9 to Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Departure should be scheduled for AFTER a 1:00 PM EST departure.
- MEDICAL STAFF – BY PLANE: Schedule flights to depart at 2:00 PM EST or later on the end date listed on your contract, unless otherwise approved by Lauren Gordon.
Medical Staff Information
Arrival by Plane: Please schedule your arrival times between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM EST on the arrival date listed on your contract. You will be picked up by a driver and brought to camp.
Travel Reimbursement Policy (US Staff Only)
- If you live over 300 miles from camp, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to $350 (roundtrip).
- Submit receipts by September 1, 2025, to ColemanAccounting@urj.org.
- Reimbursable expenses include gas, tolls, airline receipts, checked baggage receipts, and luggage service. Hotels and meals will NOT be reimbursed.
- You MUST save your receipts to be reimbursed.
Travel Form
Please promptly complete the updated travel form in your Camp InTouch account to ensure a smooth arrival. It is mandatory that you adhere to the specified arrival dates and times, or you may be responsible for your own transportation to or from camp. If you have any questions, contact jdlevy@urj.org.
IMPORTANT FORMS INSTRUCTIONS
Your forms are now available in your CampInTouch account. All of the forms in your account must be completed and submitted ASAP (as soon as possible) and no later than May 1.
For your convenience, you can use the following checklists with detailed instructions on how to complete each form. Please use this as a reference as you complete your paperwork.
CampInTouch Login Information
- Use your email address as your username to log in to your CampInTouch account.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, click “retrieve/set password.”
Using Campanion App
- Download Campanion app on your iPhone or Android
- Snap a photo of the form using the app.
- Upload the photo directly in the app.
- Uploaded forms will appear in your CampInTouch account.
If you have not yet signed your employment agreement and paperwork, please do so now. If you have not yet received it, you will be receiving it soon.
PRE CAMP TRAINING
Before our campers arrive to camp on June 8th (!!) all of you will go through trainings to be prepared! Some of this the training starts before your arrival at camp. This mandatory pre-arrival training can all be done asynchronous, although we do have one live zoom webinar that will be live and then recorded.
This year we are using a new platform to us through a website called Cvent. Below you will find instructions.

- Dave Brown is a director of a summer camp and has a Masters in Social Work who created this Fencepost Learning to provide practical mental health training for staff, emphasizing emotional safety and resilience.

- Keshet Training
- During this training we will focus on building shared vocabulary and awareness around LGBTQ+ identities and identifying ways in which they can build a community of equality and belonging for LGBTQ+ people.
- Live on May 14th from 7-8:30pm
- We understand that with the time zones of our many staff from all over the world, that if you can’t make it, the video will be in the “On Demand” area to watch the next day.
- Keshet Training
CampSafe
- CampSafe is an online, asynchronous training program that covers abuse prevention, harassment prevention, boundaries, and youth protection. All staff must take the CampSafe training prior to working in URJ camps and programs.
- You will receive a separate email from “BeKidSafe” with your username and password, plus instructions on how to access the course to start.
- Once you’ve completed and passed the course, you do not need to do anything with the certificate, the platform lets us know you’ve finished.
- For those who completed CampSafe from previous summers, you will need to complete again. If you don’t remember your password, you can click to reset your password and begin the course.
