We’re thrilled to introduce you to our fantastic, talented, and passionate Leadership Team who will be ensuring our campers and staff have a fun, memorable, and safe summer. Joining Bobby, Amy, Alex, Molly, and the rest of the year-round team are 16 incredible staff members who are multi-talented and bring many years of experience and passion to their positions:
Diana Bloom, Head Counselor
Diana Bloom is originally from Rockville Centre, Long Island. She has a B.A in Judaic Studies from Binghamton University and a graduate degree in Medieval Sephardic History from New York University. During the year, Diana is a productivity and efficiency coach specializing in Jewish non-profits. She travels around the world teaching take-away, actionable systems to achieve higher productivity, and efficiency in all areas of an organization. Diana first worked at URJ Camp Coleman in the mid-90s as the Kochavim Unit Head. Diana came back to Coleman in 2010 again as the Kochavim Unit Head. She has served in the role of Head Counselor since 2011. She currently lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband Aaron Bloom, a former Coleman staff member, and their 14 year old twins, Gil and Eliana Diana is excited about leading a
wonderful team of Unit Heads this summer to provide all campers with a memorable, meaningful, Jewish camping experience.
Lauren Zeichner, Specialist Curriculum Director
Lauren Zeichner has worked with the specialists at Coleman for 23 years. She created the Campscape program, which teaches organic gardening, garden crafts, and sustainability. Many gourd creations, Jewish star mobiles and herbal soap produced in Campscape grace Coleman camper homes. In the non-Coleman part of the year, Lauren is a registered Landscape Architect, who taught in the College of Environment and Design at the University of Georgia in Athens. Lauren’s area of specialization is Green Building, Landscape Ecology, and Community-built design. Pottery and metal-crafting are her passions, as is kindling a love in those she teaches at Camp Coleman for Judaism, Israel, and its connections with the land.
Hanoch Greenberg, Specialist Supervisor
Hanoch Greenberg will be supervising the amazing specialists working in the different specialty areas at camp this summer. This is his 17th summer at camp and his 6th year in this position. He was a Bonim counselor for 3 summers, a Unit Head for the Kochavim unit for another 6 summers (and the educator for Kochavim one summer as well), and the Solelim Unit Head in 2012, the first summer of Solelim. He also served as the head of the Israeli delegation in camp for 6 summers. Hanoch lives in Ma’ale Edumim, Israel, and works at The Jewish Agency for Israel at the Summer Shlichim Program. He is in charge of the screening and training process of thousands of Israelis applying to become Shlichim (emissaries) in Jewish summer camps across North America. Hanoch graduated from the Tel Aviv University graduate school in 2011 with a Masters in Diplomacy and Israel Security Studies. He also received his Bachelors at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzeliya, Israel, where he graduated in the field of Strategy and Counter-Terrorism studies in 2007. In October 2014 he began his Ph.D. studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in the field of Conflict Resolution. As the Specialist Supervisor, he is thrilled to work with Lauren Zeichner, the Specialist Curriculum Director and the 50+ Coleman Specialists to create an incredible, meaningful and positive experience in every specialty area for the Coleman campers. They are committed to implement Camp Coleman’s 4 core values in every specialty area: Shalom (Peace), Chesed (Kindness), Kehila (Community) and Kavod (Respect); Hanoch is committed to create a meaningful, positive and fun experience for every camper!
Danielle Steinhart, Director of Community Care
Danielle Steinhart grew up in Orlando, Florida and has been calling Atlanta home for the last 10+ years. Danielle is returning for for 6th summer as Inclusion Coordinator/Social Worker at Camp Coleman after being a Unit Head at Coleman in 2006, 2007 & 2008. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her MSW from the University of Michigan and her BA from Florida State University. Danielle currently works as a School Counselor for grades 5-8 grade Guidance Counselor. She has worked as a youth director and as an adolescent therapist. Danielle is passionate about working with both campers and staff to support them through their experience at Coleman.
Dr. Cheryl Kornfeld, Camper Care Team
Cheryl Kornfeld is so excited to return to camp for her 16th summer after an 8-year hiatus. Starting in Oldest Bonim, Cheryl attended Coleman through Chalutzim and then went on to be a counselor for 3 summers, Chalutzim Unit head, Machon Unit head, and finally Machon Adventure Unit Head. In between then and now, Cheryl worked as a youth group advisor in Miami, received her Psy.D., and became a Licensed Psychologist in New York (where she lives with her wife and their snuggly miniature Goldendoodle, JJ). She currently works in an outpatient practice, specializing in working with adolescents and young adults. Cheryl is thrilled that she has the opportunity to integrate her passion for camp with her career and is looking forward to working closely with staff and campers as they enjoy this incredible summer at Coleman.
Josh Simon, 
Assistant Program Director
This is Josh’s 6th summer at Camp Coleman and his 3rd as assistant program director. He can’t wait to spend the summer at Camp Coleman. During the year Josh serves as the Youth Program Director at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El in Plantation, He has been working as a youth professional for the past 23 years. Prior to moving to Florida Josh was a television sports reporter/photographer. Josh is looking forward to working with our programming team to help bring amazing programs to camp this summer.
Alison Sigalow, Bonim Unit Head
Alison Sigalow is excited to return as the Bonim Unit Head for Summer 2018 at Camp Coleman! Alison recently graduated with a Masters of Elementary Education from the University of Florida, and will be teaching third grade in Gainesville, Florida during the 2018-2019 school year, in addition to being a yoga instructor. A Bonim counselor in 2015, the Bonim programmer in 2016, and the 2017 Bonim Unit Head, Alison is committed to building meaningful experiences for campers, staff, and families.
Mikey Tauber, Kochavim Unit Head
Mike (Mikey) Tauber grew up in Tampa Bay, FL and is currently starting his last year at American University in Washington D.C. studying communications and filmmaking. This past school year he was selected to attend FAMU Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic for film. There he wrote and directed a short film which was featured in two theaters. His journey at Coleman began in 2008 as a Solelim camper and would last for three summers. He would later join the Coleman staff from 2015-2017 as a counselor for Tsofim, Nachshonim and then Kesher. Last year, he participated in the Cornerstone Fellowship (for third year staff members). During the year he also works at the Washington Hebrew Congregation in D.C. as a second grade religious school teacher.
Blaine Smith, Solelim Unit Head
Blaine Smith is spending his second summer at URJ Camp Coleman. While this is only his second summer at Coleman, he is not new to working with Jewish youth. Blaine works as a youth advisor in Orlando, Florida at Congregation of Reform Judaism (CRJ) where he works with every youth group from Kindergarten through high school Seniors. He loves doing this work, and his goal is to become a Director in Programming and Youth Engagement. Blaine is from Oviedo, Florida and recently received his B.A. in Political Science at Florida Atlantic University. Blaine enjoys going to the gym and hanging out with friends when he is not working. Throughout his undergraduate years, he worked at Congregation Kol-Tikvah as a youth advisor and felt very passionate about it as soon as he started. Blaine is very excited to be back at Coleman this summer, because he had a great time learning the Coleman culture and values and is looking forward to upholding these values and contributing to the culture they created.
Emily Kahn-Perry, Tsofim Unit Head
Emily Kahn-Perry has spent the past 4 summers on staff at Camp Coleman and is so excited to be the Tsofim Unit Head this summer! Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Emily accredits Camp Coleman for allowing her to become the person she is today. Emily has been a counselor, a programmer and has participated in the Olim and Cornerstone Fellowships. Last summer Emily worked with the Machon (counselors-in-training) Unit and she cannot wait to be on the Leadership Team this year and help create an exciting and meaningful summer for both campers and staff. Emily just graduated from Indiana University where she majored in Human Development and Family Studies and will be moving to Nashville in August to work at Vanderbilt Hillel.
Aaron Torop, Nachshonim Unit Head
Aaron Torop will be spending his fourth summer on staff but 14th summer at Camp Coleman this summer. After serving for two years as a counselor (in Kochavim and Solelim) and one year as a programmer (in Kesher), he is very excited to join the Leadership Team this summer. He recently graduated from American University summa cum laude with B.A.s in Political Science and Jewish Studies. Next year, Aaron will serve as an Eisendrath Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. Aaron grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, at Temple Beth-El, and was very active in NFTY, serving as the NFTY-STR RCVP his senior year in high school. He is looking forward to another an incredible and impactful summer at Camp Coleman!
Justin Levy, Kesher Unit Head 1st Session, Head Counselor 2nd Session
Justin Levy is joining Coleman for his 15th summer on staff. Throughout his time at Coleman he has had the privilege of working with every age group at camp. He was a counselor for 5 years, and this will be his 10th summer as a Unit Head. He is so excited to be working with the Kesher unit 1st Session and serving as Head Counselor 2nd Session this summer. In the past, Justin has worked as a youth advisor in Clearwater and grew up in NFTY. He currently lives in Miami with his wife Molly, who is Coleman’s Program Director, and his 22 month old son, Jonah. He is really looking forward to this summer and can’t wait for the campers to arrive.
Emilia Epstein, Kesher Unit Head 2nd Session
Emilia is the Kesher Unit Head at camp this summer. This is her fifth year on staff and her second year on the Leadership Team. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lived until the age of seven when she moved to Miami Beach, FL. She is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and minors in Psychology and Design.
Lotem Eilon, Chalutzim Unit Head and Rosh Mishlachat (Head of the Israeli Delegation)
Lotem Eilon feels so lucky to be the Chalutzim unit head this summer! She was first introduced to Coleman in the summer of 2013 as one of the Mishlachat members (Israeli staff) at camp. She fell in love with camp’s work and environment and kept coming back to her new found home at camp. In the past 5 summers Lotem has been a video specialist, a programmer, and this will be her 3rd summer as a unit head (her 6th summer on staff). In the past year she has been working on Coleman’s year-round team as the Israel Educator (Shlicha) for Coleman and NFTY in the Southeast, working on Israel engagement within NFTY SAR, NFTY STR, and the congregations in the region. She spent the two years prior to that as a Shlicha for Coleman and Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, FL. Lotem was born and raised in Haifa, Israel. She is looking forward to another magical summer at home – Camp Coleman!
Adam Griff, Machon Unit Head and NFTY SAR Regional Director
From Cleveland (Ohio) to Denver, Boulder to Atlanta, Adam Griff has worked to engage and inspire Jewish teens across the county. While in high school, he served as Treasurer and Programming Vice-President of YGOTS in NFTY-OV. During college, he began working at Shwayder Camp, a Reform camp owned by Temple Emanuel in Denver. He also began working with NFTY-MV as the Regional Songleader. After college, Adam moved to Denver, where he worked as the Assistant Director of Shwayder Camp, as an advisor and chaperone in NFTY-MV, and as the retreat director at Congregation Har HaShem in Boulder. For 8 years, Adam served as the founder and director of Adamah Adventures. During that time, he and his wife worked as the youth directors of Congregation Dor Tamid and Temple Beth Tikvah. In 2016, Adam left Adamah Adventures to begin working full-time for the URJ as the NFTY-SAR Regional Director of Youth Engagement and the Camp Coleman Machon Director. Adam earned an MBA from Georgia State University in 2013. His hobbies include traveling, cooking, hiking, skiing, and reading a good book. He and his wife Bobbee live in Roswell, GA with their sons Jonathan and Zachary.
Bobbee Griff, Yeladim Unit Head
Bobbee is the youth group director at Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell, GA. She also teaches the 8th & 9th grade religious school program at Temple Beth Tikvah. She and her husband, Adam, started and ran an outdoor adventure Jewish summer camp for teens. In all of these roles, Bobbee is able to draw on her years of experience as well as her master’s degree in child and family development from the University of Georgia. She and Adam are the parents to 2 boys and this will be her 3rd summer at Coleman. Bobbee enjoys going to the movies, reading a good book, and cooking.
Lindsey Davis, Staff Engagement Coordinator
Lindsey Davis is beyond excited to be the Staff Engagement Coordinator this year. This is her first year on the leadership team, but will be Lindsey’s 15th year at camp. Lindsey was a counselor in 2015-2016 and was a programmer in 2017. She is from Plantation, Florida and is a rising senior at Florida State University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Sciences. Lindsey is looking forward to making a lasting impact on the staff in her new position and cannot wait to see what the summer holds.
