Leadership Team

Our Summer Leadership Team is made up of twelve mature staff members who supervise program areas and groups of staff within camp. This team works directly with the year-round camp leadership to oversee every facet of camp-life. We are currently accepting applications for the following Leadership Team positions:

General Counselors

The most meaningful and critical component of our camp staff; counselors are the influential front line role models who directly shape the camp experience for our region’s youth. The below description applies to all in-cabin staff.

Specialists

Specialists supervise the campers’ daily activities in a wide range of areas, from athletics to arts to waterfront to outdoor adventure to Jewish Life and more. Specialists offer campers the opportunity to develop new skills, strengthen existing ones, and build positive self-esteem along the way. Our specialists must come to camp with either previous teaching experience or a high level of proficiency in their specialty.

We are currently accepting applications for the following specialist positions:

ATHLETICS: Archery, Baseball & Softball, Basketball, Flag football, Fitness, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Modern & Israeli Dance, Soccer, Street Hockey, Tennis, Volleyball, Yoga.

ARTS: Ceramics & Pottery, Crafts & Tie Dye, Drawing & Painting, Jewelry Making, Music, Songleading, and Theater.

JEWISH LIFE & PROGRAM: Jewish Education, B’nai mitzvah Tutoring, and Program Planning.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE: Teva (Hiking and Camping), Ropes Course/Zipline, Outdoor Cooking, and Animal Care.

WATERFRONT: Swim Instruction, Waterski, Sailing, Canoe/Kayak, Lifeguarding.

MEDIA: Blog, Photography, Videography, and Audio/Visual.

Camper Care

At Camp, it is our goal to create a healthy, nurturing environment for campers to try new activities, build meaningful relationships, and grow their Jewish identities, and our Camper Care Team plays a critical role in ensuring we meet these goals. We are seeking qualified candidates with an educational background and work experience in social work, child development, psychology, and/or education to join our Camper Care Team. This team will advise and mentor our staff in ensuring we are meeting every child’s needs and helping them to succeed throughout the summer.

Operations, Marketing, and Support Staff
Support Staff are responsible for the day-to-day behind-the-scenes operation of camp. These staff members may work in the Kitchen, in the Health Center, as part of the Facilities or Logistics teams, or in the Office.
 
Health Center Assistant
In charge of running the Health Center. Check patients in, maintaining the upkeep and cleanliness of the infirmary, washing soiled linens, and responsible for the overall well-being of the campers and staff staying in the Health Center.
 
Driver
Responsible for pick up and drop offs to airport, buying supplies for camp, and all other off camp errands.
 
Photographer 
Document all aspects of camp life, including activities, campers, and staff through still photography (with an output of 100’s of finished photos daily).
 
Photographer and Communications Specialist
Supplement photos of all aspects of camp life in conjunction with main photographer. Additionally, maintain calendar of blog and social media posts including creation of content as well as solicitation from others.
