For our newest Camp Coleman camper editions, this Bonim unit has flourished in exploring camp’s endless activities, forming long-lasting friendships, and creating unforgettable memories. From swimming at the pool and Lake Shalom to making lanyards and tie dye at Arts & Crafts, from hitting balloon targets at Archery to scaling the rock wall at the Ropes Course, from conquering obstacle courses at Fitness to crafting dream inspiration pillows at Campscape – our campers are becoming fully immersed in the Camp Coleman Kehillah. A huge slice of our time spent at camp is spent developing bonds within our cabins as well as within our entire unit through Mashehu programs and evening programs. An evening program that every camper absolutely loved and engaged in was Minute to Win It; all 7 Bonim cabins rotated through a series of blue solo cup and ping pong ball challenge stations, such as cup pong, flipping a cup onto a stick, and cup stacking.
On Friday night, Bonim celebrated Shabbat for the first time by participating in Shabbat Walk, eating the classic fried chicken and apple brown betty, singing at services, and dancing at song session. Our campers truly felt the pure magical atmosphere radiating throughout the community, feeling connected to everyone dressing in all white and joining together arm-in-arm Covid-19 style. We are all looking forward to many new adventures in the upcoming week and discover the hidden surprises Camp Coleman has to offer our Bonimers.
