This week, Kesher experienced on one of the most anticipated moments of the summer — our overnight adventure trip! With whitewater rafting, a three-story ropes course, soaring zip lines, and cabins stacked with triple-decker bunk beds, it was two days packed with challenge, excitement, and a whole lot of Kesher spirit.
Our trip started with a scenic drive, one bus, and one movie that turned into a full-on Pitch Perfect singalong. Campers belted out the songs like a seasoned a cappella crew, and the laughter carried us all the way to Tennessee. Once we arrived, the real adventure kicked off. We rafted the Ocoee River, tested our strength and balance on ropes and climbing elements, and zipped through the trees like it was second nature. At night, we circled up for s’mores, stories, and that unbeatable feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves.
When we returned to camp, the shift back to Coleman life was surprisingly refreshing—campers jumped right back into the rhythm of camp with the same energy and connection that carried them through the trip.

Back at camp, the sense of connection didn’t fade. Every night, no matter how long the day had been or how late a program ended, campers asked for siyum—a nightly ritual of Shema, Hashkiveinu, and our unit songs. That quiet moment of reflection and community has become one of the most meaningful parts of our week.
Whether we were braving rapids or harmonizing under the stars, this week reminded us what Kesher is all about: strength, friendship, laughter, and never skipping the songs.
