At Camp Coleman, summer storms are part of the adventure. One minute we’re playing GaGa under blue skies, and the next we’re hearing the first rumble of thunder. But don’t worry—we’ve got it covered. Literally.

Rain doesn’t cancel fun. It just changes the backdrop. While not every activity has a full alternative schedule, our staff are always ready. Whether they’ve come prepared with back-pocket games or a whole new rainy day plan, they know how to keep the energy high and the campers engaged.

We play in the rain when we can (because, honestly, some of the best memories come with mud). But if lightning or thunder rolls in, we move quickly to safe, covered spaces and keep the day moving. Schedules shift. Plans adjust. But the magic? That stays.

Sometimes it looks like an impromptu song session while we wait out the storm. Other times, it’s bunk trivia, a cabin-wide talent show, or a spontaneous dance party. Rainy day programs bring out the best in camp—creativity, flexibility, and a whole lot of spirit.

At Coleman, the weather might change. But our commitment to joy, connection, and camper experience never does. Rain or shine, we’re ready.
