Jacob Spike Kraus!
The Coleman community was thrilled to host the first residency of Jacob Spike Kraus’s 15-camp tour this summer. Spike is a phenomenally talented song-leading and singer-songwriter who came up through the URJ camp system and was the perfect guest for our first week of camp and first Shabbat..
Kochavim Update!
Kochavim has had an action-packed beginning to the session and we aren’t stopping now.
Kesher Trip Update!
We are halfway through the session and the fun is just beginning! The unit has been enjoying many of the programs such as mitzvah party, a fun way to learn about philanthropic organizations, or shattered vessels, where they learned the importance of repairing the world through candy. While all the activities and programs are fun at camp, the campers really enjoyed the Kesher trip this past week!
Chalutzim Unit Update!
Last week, Chalutzim embarked on a four-day civil rights-themed trip around the South. This included stops throughout major landmarks of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and going to the Atlanta Braves game as well as the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park.
IT’S TRIP TIME!

First Shabbat of 2019!
Get a glimpse of what our first Shabbat will be like! Shabbat at Camp Coleman is led by campers from different units. They choose prayers and write about Shabbat at camp. Here are the readings from our first Shabbat of the first session:
Specialist Spotlight: Aquatics
The waterfront at Camp Coleman is one of the places where the entire unit can be together, play together and bond together. Not only do the campers have the opportunity to cool off, play around, relax and even learn a bit about activities in and around the water, but they get to further their bonds with new and old friends from other bunks within the same unit.
A Reflection: Staff Week 2019
Staff week has been an amazing experience for all staff. Not only has it been challenging, but friendships have been formed that will likely last a lifetime. We are all so excited for the campers to get here in less than 24 hours!
