Welcome to Lindsey and Walterina!

We are very pleased to announce the selection of Lindsey Davis as incoming  Camp Coleman Assistant Director.  Lindsey will be graduating in May with a degree in Family and Child Sciences from  Florida State University.  Lindsey is no stranger to Coleman-she attended 9 summers as a camper, traveled with Coleman to Israel, and also participated in our Machon program.

Farewells from Donetta and Alex

It was 8 years ago that I learned about an opportunity to be an Assistant Director at URJ Camp Coleman. I can be an Assistant Director at a camp I didn’t grow up at!? I never went to Jewish overnight summer camp as a camper, and after meeting the team and going to camp with Bobby for my interview I knew this was where I wanted to be and a place I wanted to call home.

Recipes from the Garden

Sukkot, which begins this Sunday night, is a holiday to give thanks for the fall harvest. We are thankful for our Campscape garden, and in celebration wanted to share some recipes from the garden! Another Sukkot tradition is to invite friends, family, and even strangers into your sukkah to rejoice- so make some fried green tomatoes and limonana and celebrate Sukkot!

Summer 2018 In Review

“My son had an amazing first summer month away experience at Camp Coleman. He enjoyed each activity, had great counselors, made wonderful friends, looked forward to Shabbat, and came home with exciting stories to tell and fun songs to sing. My son is one of only two Jewish people in his elementary school, so being in a place where everyone is Jewish was a special experience for him. We as parents could not be happier.”
